Don’t look now by Mother’s Day will soon be upon us. The exact date is Sunday, May 11, which gives you about 10 days to get organized, get that dinner reservation, get that gift purchased or get those special flowers sent.

If you don’t live at home you are somewhat off the hook. Often a nice phone call will do, or maybe even an email – though I can’t imagine too many moms preferring an email to a phone call!

Then there’s the greeting card or you could mail them a special gift. Either one usually suffices.

Of course there are many routes to go when properly recognizing mom on Mother’s Day. One of the most popular is the flower route. Sending mom some flowers is never a bad idea, unless of course they are allergic to flowers, in which case you shouldn’t do it unless you really don’t like your mom.
