IRS investigating Las Vegas companyPosted on February 23, 2008 from Staff Reports
The Internal Revenue Service is investigating the operations of Las Vegas nightclub operator Pure Management Group, a report said Saturday.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that IRS agents raided the nightclub group's offices this week, while a source said Caesar Palace's Pure nightclub was also the target of a visit from the tax men recently.
While the exact nature of the Internal Revenue Service investigation has not been revealed, a statement from the Las Vegas group said it is cooperating with the federal probe.
"Pure Management Group is fully cooperating with this IRS investigation and looks forward to a quick and satisfactory resolution," the company said. "Until that time, we will have no further comment on this matter."
The newspaper said the IRS investigation comes as Pure is enjoying great success in Las Vegas, particularly at its Caesar's Palace location. That nightclub site was tabbed by the E! Entertainment channel as the top night spot in all of the United States.
